A few things guests often ask before beginning their Ceylon journey.

For peak season (December to March, and July to August) we recommend reserving 4 to 6 months ahead to secure preferred stays. For shoulder seasons, 6 to 8 weeks is usually comfortable. Last-minute journeys can often be arranged — simply speak with us.

We offer both private and group tours. Most journeys are private, with your own chauffeur-guide, vehicle and schedule — but we also arrange small group departures for travellers who enjoy sharing the experience. Let us know which you prefer and we'll tailor it accordingly.

Accommodation, private vehicle with English-speaking chauffeur-guide, all internal transfers, daily breakfast, bottled water, and 24-hour concierge support throughout your journey. Lunches, dinners, international flights and personal expenses are separate unless specifically arranged.

Absolutely — and most guests do. Our signature journeys are frameworks, not fixed programmes. Extend a beach stay, add a cooking class, swap a hotel, or begin from a blank page entirely. Nothing is set until you approve the final proposal.

A 30% deposit confirms your reservation and secures all bookings. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. We accept payment by international bank transfer. For last-minute bookings, full payment is required at confirmation.

Sri Lanka has two monsoons on opposite coasts, meaning somewhere on the island is always in season. December to March is ideal for the south and west coasts and cultural triangle. May to September is best for the east coast and the highlands. We'll always recommend the right regions for your travel dates.
